![]() For one, they seem to fry at much lower speeds making it near impossible to break 1400m/s before switching to rocket mode and having to pull up or risk just burning up, a thenomenon. I will post pictures of my best SSTO (and my station if someone is intrested) when I find out how I can do this. Well, im not gonna claim it has necessarily, but there is something very wrong with many older SSTO designs i have. is this normal? or are people still going to Eeloo (or another planet/moon) and back?Īlso please leave a picture of your best SSTO and write its remaining delta-V when its in orbit underneath, you will help my alot because I can learn so much of your picture, get new ideas for designs and get better at making SSTO's. If i get my SSTO in orbit I have around 300 m/s delta-V left (thats why i made a refuel space station). since the aerodynamics changed in 1.0.0 (and i thought someone said it changed in 1.0.5 too) people said it is much much harder to make an SSTO in orbit, I even saw people asking if it actually still was possible to make an SSTO and fly it into a orbit around Kerbin. I saw alot of other SSTO designs which can fly to Eeloo and back but this was in a different version. on the space station I refuel it and i can fly around with my max of 2 300 m/s of delta-V. OPT parts have quite high thermal resistance, so unlike the real space shuttle, your kerbals will survive a faster re-entry. I really like SSTO's alot because its a real challange for me to get an space plane in orbit around Kerbin and dock it on my space station, which is specially designed for this purpose, low orbit (73 000M high) ect. Being so close to the limit, it is important to fly it as efficiently as possible during the ascent. Of course, you can reduce payload capacity as necessary to increase DV on orbit. spaceplane-gaming-awesome-air-launched-Reusable-system-recreated. Kerbal Weather Project 1.27.0 for KSP 1.12. Why doesn't this happen to the stock flaps? It does, but since they are symmetric, and not wedge-shaped, it's not visible and thus doesn't matter.Īll copyright for textures and models of SP+ are held by Porkjet If I make them start 90° rotated, you will have to rotate them back manually, BUT it will now be rotated correctly on the other side aswell. Kerbal Space Program is a computer game in which the player can build spacecraft, aircraft, and spaceplanes. ![]() If I make it attach at the correct rotation right away, symmetry will flip it to the wrong side on the other wing. If you are an expert, it can be halfway between there and the centre of the yellow ball, but i'd play it safe. centre of lift should be a bit behind centre of mass - maybe with midpoint of the blue ball touching back of yellow one. While on EVA, Kerbals can collect and cache science experiments, plant flags on the surfaces of planets and moons, and repair spacecraft. OPT Reconfig: Contains some core things like the agency config and flags, the custom tech tree nodes, the upgrades, and nearly all of the configs necessary to make the parts packs perform better, and provides all of the integration with gameplay mods like fuel. Q: Why do the Elevons start at that weird rotation?Ī: This is also due to a problem with KSP symmetry. turn on centre of mass and centre of lift display. Contains antique spaceplane bodies and most of the fancy and exotic engines. Its not big enough to fit 2.5m parts inside so what's the advantage of it over Mk2? Also the COM is WAY off. A: Nope! I think the Mk3 Fuselage makes no sense. Im trying to make my first space plan and failing miserably, everything I make explodes on the runway.

Grant writers working as employees may also have other roles if the organization doesn’t need full-time grant writing. But they may also be responsible for other types of communication, such as building relationships with potential grantors and answering questions grantors have about the proposal. Grant writers may also have different writing tasks within an organization, like documenting the project’s results if it receives funding. Grant writers must infuse their writing expertise into the proposal to make something that is factual and rooted in hard data, but also tells a compelling story and sketches an enticing vision that motivates and inspires grantors. ![]() Hundreds or even thousands of organizations may be vying for the same grant. Within those guidelines, it’s essential for your organization’s grant proposal to stand out. Grant writers must follow instructions to a T for a funder’s consideration. Grants have precise requirements and guidelines. A grant proposal also includes curated attachments, like letters of support and one to two related testimonials or newspaper clippings that bolster the proposal. Other items it consists of are a detailed account of how the entity will use the money and the measurable outcomes it expects. A proposal has numerous components, such as a carefully crafted cover letter, an explanation of why the organization is interested in the cause, and how it has succeeded with other projects in the past. Once they find a suitable grant to apply for, grant writers are charged with writing the grant proposal. These writers search databases and potential donors to see which grants are worth pursuing and which ones aren’t a fit with the organization’s mission and objectives. Grant writers have a crucial role for organizations because they work to match a grantmaker with money to give for specific projects, to an organization, or individuals seeking money for a charitable initiative. Award recipients are chosen from the pool of eligible applicants based on the proposal they submit in the grant application process. Funds are limited and grantmakers want them to be used in ways that align with the grant’s designated purpose and specifications. Receiving a grant often requires that interested parties go through a grant application process. The money typically comes from federal agencies that redistribute government resources to qualifying parties or from private foundations looking to help with initiatives beneficial to the community at large. Grant writing is a type of writing that helps organizations (and even individuals) obtain financial assistance for projects and ideas. ![]() “Wedding brooms are a very niche item, steeped in tradition. Although slavery ended, this tradition often carries on in the Black tradition, being revived once again in 1976 when Alex Haley’s novel “Roots: The Saga of an American Family” was released.Ĭeremonial brooms tend to have a more traditional aesthetic, but there are some designers, like Lane and Williams, who are creating designs that are more in-line with the modern couple. There are other accounts that this was how slave owners forced the slaves to get married. history, Jumping the Broom was prevalent during slavery, where couples would jump the broom as part of a wedding ceremony to recognize a union. This tradition can also be tied back to Scotland. There are also stories that this began in Wales, representative of the “Besom Weddings,” where marriages were not recognized by the church in Roma. Some say it started in West Africa and used to ward off evil. There are varying accounts of exactly where this tradition started. “I recently designed a wedding broom for a lovely couple and during their ceremony they along with their children each tied a ribbon on the handle of the broom symbolizing family ties and bond. If you are having a goth-inspired wedding, we can reflect that too it can be something as simple as saying that it is important that a certain type of flower end up in the broom.” “If they are getting married in the tropics, then let us know and we’ll use tropical floral. In most ceremonies, the broom handle is a representation of God, the bristles of the broom represent the families of the couple, and the ribbon on the broom are the ties that bind the couple together.ĭesigner Candace Williams of Pretty Prints Etc., who creates custom brooms for weddings, encourages couples to make their brooms a reflection of their day. While many people may be familiar with the tradition, the broom has multiple means based on culture. After saying “I do,” and the officiant pronounces the couple married, the newlyweds hold hands while jumping over a broom to seal their union. ![]() Jumping the Broom is an historical wedding tradition among African-Americans. “Today I see more couples wanting to acknowledge the resilience and beauty of our ancestors and I want to help them carry out that tradition.” I soon after developed a sincere interest in the history of wedding jumping brooms and a passion for offering this to wedding couples grew,” says Marayah Lane, owner/designer of Brooms Baubles ‘N' Brides. Of course I’ve heard of Jumping the Broom but I didn’t think anyone still carried out the tradition. “Over 15 years ago, I was asked to create a ceremonial wedding broom for a former colleague. For many couples, this may include a longstanding tradition that has started to grow once again in popularity: Jumping the Broom. Weddings are ripe with tradition (some great, others not-so-great), but so many of these traditions are tied to cultures and can be a beautiful nod to the individual roots of the soonlyweds. Many a night I had to come home and dress some wounds. I think there’s something to be said for going home, tired, bruised and a little broken - you know, scraped and all that. Yeah, well I didn’t want my stunt double to have all the fun. RT: You look like you were physically involved in a lot of those fights. They definitely hit casting on this one, because I can’t imagine a better role. ![]() Oh, and the icing on the cake was the ’69 Charger. ![]() It was the fast cars, loud explosions, great music, big guns and saving the world with Nicolas Cage - in a pair of Daisy Dukes. RT: What got you interested in this - was it Nicolas, or the cars? ![]() We caught up with Heard for a chat ahead of the film’s release, and asked her about her role alongside Johnny Depp in Bruce Robinson’s adaptation of Hunter S. The part calls for plenty of lurid cussin’, dirty fist fights, and blowing people away with large weaponry… while somehow managing to be sweet in the process. Heard plays tough Southern girl Piper, who, after catching out (and beating the crap out of) her no-good cheating boyfriend, finds herself on the run with Nicolas Cage’s escapee from Hell. It came as no surprise, then, to discover Amber Heard’s enthusiasm for both the fast and scuzzy sensibility of the movie and her co-star’s typically unusual performance, which includes - in a move inspired, says Cage, by poet laureate Walt Whitman - his character Milton drinking beer from the bloodied skull of a deceased foe. Any film where Nic Cage kills 6 people in a hotel room while continuing to have sex with a woman and without putting the 5th of Jack in his other hand down has truly shown that it has mastered the art of cinema. For a Texan-born actress with a love for classic American muscle cars (she drives a ’68 Mustang), starring opposite Nicolas Cage in a grindhouse-style thriller called Drive Angry would seem like the ideal role. Low budget versions of the matrix reloaded rave scene? Uh, Check. Guns that send people to purgatory? Check. Overall this movie hits all the bullet points for a great action flick. Any actor who can make you believe that they really are the character they are portraying on screen is doing a masterful job. I literally thought that it was his real hair. The third co-star that really gives a stunning performance is Nic Cage's wig. Throughout the movie, Fichtner plays the role of a stoic and serious warden from the underworld in a charming and delightful way. Fichtner plays the Marshall from hell, a servant to Satan who is presented the task of capturing and returning Nic Cage's Milton to hell. The only performance that comes anywhere close to Cage's brilliance is that of of William Fichtner's. Heard is a beautiful woman, but just because this movie objectifies her doesn't mean I have to as well. When I say Amber Heard is fiery hot, I mean it as in the passion that she shows in helping Cage reclaim his family member. Amber Heard plays his side-kick, a fiery hot girl that joins Cage in getting his granddaughter back from Billy Burke who, as the cult leader has kidnapped her and killed Cage's daughter. Besides Nic Cage's Oscar worthy performance in this action flick, the 3 co-stars absolutely fill in the gaps that the light of Cage's star power cannot. Need I say more? If you haven't run out to buy 3 copies of this film just from reading that sentence, then maybe you need to have your pulse checked. This movie has Nic Cage who has escaped from hell in a muscle car to avenge the death of his daughter at the hands of a satanic cult leader. "But these are all masterpieces of the medium," you may be asking "How could this movie that has a lowly 5.4 Metascore be better than those classics?" Well I'll tell you why this movie is better. Better than Casablanca, Citizen Kane and Pulp Fiction. Drive angry 3D is the best movie ever made. |
